This antique carver dining chair was placed outside in error and became badly damaged.
The clients wanted to retain the seat cover as the tapestry had been done by them many years ago.
The existing upholstery was carefully removed with the tapestry cover carefully retained.
The seat had been previously poorly repaired.
Work was undertaken to repair the frame correctly and consolidate all the joints. The polish had been badly damaged and it was carefully stripped and refinished in french polish.
The upholstery was then redone with the old tapestry cover refitted along with piping to match.
