The client needed the chair to be completely restored to match another in her home. The arm caps were no longer needed and plain arms required. In addition the seat had been repaired with a ply panel. All the old upholstery was removed along with the ply seat panel.

The arm caps had been stapled on to the arms and when removed there was considerable damage. The remedy was to veneer over the top f the arm ad feather in the edges.

Once the old and damaged finish was removed it could then be re-polished.

It was then re-upholstered using a modern elastic webbing for the seat.
