An inherited piece that had been ‘repaired’ in previous times. The backboard was a piece of short hardboard, the top to the hood was again hardboard, the trunk was cracked down the centre, the moulding on the left side of the hood had been eaten by woodworm and was crumbling and the hood door had lost it’s closing mechanism.

The clock was fully restored with an new pine backbaord, oak top to the hood, new moulding and the panel closed up.
