This chair was in very poor condition and required considerable work to the frame as well as finishing the surface and upholstering. Repairs included fitting false tenons into the ends of the rails.  New wood was grafted onto and the tenons cut to fit into the mortice on the legs.

The right front leg was reinforced with a new section of wood at the top and mortice joints cut for the side rails. A drop in seat frame was then made and upholstered.
