ESCUTCHEON ON MID GEORGIAN TABLE CLOCK

The escutcheon had been covered over with a block of wood that had been painted black. (right).

This was renoved and it was found that the escutcheon beneath was badly damaged.

A new piece of wood was carefully inserted and then re-cut to form a new excutcheon. It was then coloured to match the surrounding wood.
